Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 June 2026
This policy explains how Manchester Giants Kabaddi ("we", "us", "the club") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website or get in touch with us. We're committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
Manchester Giants Kabaddi is a Community Interest Company based in Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. We are the "data controller" responsible for your personal data.
For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at [email protected].
What information we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us. Depending on which form you use, that may include:
- Contact & general enquiries: your name, email, subject and message.
- Joining / trials: your name, email, phone, age, experience level and any details you share.
- Sponsorship enquiries: your name, company, email, phone and your message.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address (and name, if given).
We do not knowingly collect any "special category" data, and we don't ask for payment details through this website.
How we use your information, and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry and manage trials, membership or sponsorship discussions — on the basis of our legitimate interests (running the club) or to take steps at your request before entering an arrangement.
- To send you our newsletter — only where you've signed up, on the basis of your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep our site secure and working — our hosting provider keeps limited technical logs for security and reliability.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site and respond to you, who act on our instructions:
- Form delivery (e.g. Web3Forms) — to pass your form submission to our inbox.
- Email & hosting (e.g. Cloudflare) — to host the site and route our email.
- Newsletter provider — only if you subscribe, to manage the mailing list.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies and embedded content
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Some pages embed third-party content — for example highlight videos. Embedded YouTube videos load only when you click play (we use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode), and Instagram content, where shown, is provided by Instagram. When you play or load that content, those providers may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to deal with your request and for our legitimate club records. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. We delete or anonymise data when it's no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict how we use it;
- withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribe) at any time; and
- ask for a copy of the data you gave us.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Kabaddi is for all ages, and some enquiries may relate to under-18s. If you are under 18, please get a parent or guardian's permission before sending us your details. We handle any data about young people with extra care.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
